The Dimension Paradigm – Part 2

The Fourth and Fifth dimensions are really where we ‘live’ whilst the Third Dimension, and partly the second, are what we live ‘in’.

‘Life’ itself as I mentioned last time is essentially a highly complex ‘chemical reaction’ – more a system of interlocked reactions that allow life to ‘go on’.

These complex frameworks can be ‘interfered’ with and ‘infected’ third dimensionally causing life to be disrupted and eventually to end.

Life goes on for ever, it’s just the individual instances and implementations of it that have a ‘lifespan’.

Although third dimensional life has awareness, it does not have ‘consciousness’ as such. Where awareness stops and consciousness starts is unclear and it’s likely consciousness encapsulates awareness.

A life form can be aware but not conscious but not the other way around. It cannot be conscious without being aware.

We might identify a life form that is conscious as ‘sentient’ – it is not just aware, but ‘knows’ it is aware.

The Fourth Dimension is thus, for a start, the dimension of Knowledge, of ‘knowing’. It’s also the dimension of ‘Reaction’, ‘Thinking’ and ‘Logic’.

Before I go further with this I‘ll refer to Dr David Hawkins’ theory on ‘Levels of Consciousness’ which has a significant bearing on the Fourth and Fifth dimensions.

Hawkins identifies 17 levels of consciousness and ‘feelings’ that go with them. He divides these levels into two distinct areas – ‘Force’ the lower levels, and ‘Power’ for the upper levels.

In mu understanding these correspond closely to the fourth and fifth dimensional levels of consciousness and ‘thinking’.

Whilst ‘awareness’ is primarily third dimensional, with overlap into the adjoining dimensions, then ‘thinking’ is more fifth dimensional with a similar overlap.

Thinking, evolved from awareness, starts in the fourth dimension and changes to something else in the sixth.

The Fourth Dimension then is really the domain of knowledge, of discovery, of research, but mainly of thinking about this knowledge, applying ‘logic’ and reacting to it.

I use the word ‘reacting’ advisedly – in the sense it is used by Bob Proctor, except ‘reaction’ is not unthinking, it has logic, but it may not be ‘the whole story’.

When you and I think fourth dimensionally we react logically – or what seems to be logically – and take action on our knowledge or discovery accordingly.

Often this can be more of an ‘instinctive’ third dimensional ‘reptile brain’ reaction but it will be tempered with ‘learning’.

When we discover knowledge or ‘facts’ we ‘learn’ them, commit them to memory, and use them to generate our logical decisions and reactions.

This is the basis of the school system. Children are given knowledge or facts and required to commit them to memory, later being tested on their accuracy of recall of this knowledge. If they score well, they are said to be ‘educated’ or ‘intelligent’ which is not really the case.

Whilst this is a basis for ‘staying alive’ and is sufficient for many sentient life forms its ‘not enough’ for higher life forms such as humans.

This is where we enter the Fifth Dimension where rather than simply reacting to a stimulus, knowledge or discovery, we respond.

This dimension is the domain of understanding and intuition which allow us to think in a different way and develop considered responses to whatever is going on around us.

It’s not until we reach the higher levels of education that we are asked to apply our knowledge to problems and, as Bob Proctor is very clear, this requires understanding of that knowledge.

This is fairly simple to grasp, but where does ‘intuition’ fit in?

Intuition is the first line of connection with our Inner Self, our spiritual self, which means it’s also our first line of connection with Source, the Universe, God, the Force, or whatever you care to call it.

Understanding and intuition again go together, you cannot have one without the other because intuition is required to develop understanding – understanding is not another form of knowledge.

Important aspects of fifth dimensionality are the concepts of ‘purpose’, ‘reason’ and ‘creativity’ together with setting of intentions, dreams, visions, goals and so on.

The Fifth Dimension is where we start to ‘create’, where we start to take control of our lives rather than just reacting to whatever is going on around us.

This is really what sets us apart from fourth dimensional beings (or those whose thinking is limited to that dimension) who tend to adopt a ‘follow the herd’ mentality which can serve as a means of protection but can also led to unexpected adverse consequences.

What’s different about the Fifth Dimension is, as mentioned above, this is where we start to interface with what is described in Start Trek Deep Space Nine as ‘the Great Link’ where everything about us as spiritual beings ‘comes together’.

It gives us, as third dimensional beings, the power to draw on the energy of spirit as we do in practising energy healing and other modalities. It also holds the memory of all, as infinite beings, we have experienced throughout our incarnations in what are called the Akashic Records.

These can be accessed at fifth dimensional level to clear the consequences of choices we’ve made in previous lives that still affect our current existence.

As rounded human beings we use all the resources of the third, fourth and fifth dimensions to conduct our ‘daily lives’ and orchestrate the experiences for which we are here.

To put things in perspective Andrrea Hess (Soul Realignment) describes most people on this planet as having at least 60% of their consciousness in the third dimension and a maximum of 10% in the fifth with the remainder in the fourth.

We have a long way to go towards Hawkins concept of ‘enlightenment’ at the top end of the fifth dimension.

Next time I’ll discuss the upper dimensions and consider what changes might be needed for them to be reached.
